NFL Betting Tips and Analysis

September 9, 2015 Category :Sports Betting 0

As well as bringing you the best offers from the top USA online casinos we also like to cast our net a little wider sometimes and with the NFL season set to start in just a few days’ time now seems like a great time to preview the race to Super Bowl 50.

The “Golden Super Bowl” will be held at the home of the 49ers, the Levi’s Stadium, in the Golden State of California, befitting the 50th edition of the showpiece contest. In September fans, coaches and players all enter the new season with optimism and hope but before winter comes it will become obvious that most teams have little chance of making the Super Bowl and we suspect we’ll be left with the usual suspects.

The new season starts with the Pittsburgh Steelers travelling to New England to play the Super Bowl champions, the Pats, and with the home side clear favorites at -280 it’s clear which way the sportsbooks see that one going.

Indeed, many pundits are predicting yet more Super Bowl success for Tom Brady’s Pats and if head coach Bill Belichick can use Deflategate to galvanize his troops and create even more of a siege mentality than already exists at the Gillette Stadium, New England will take some stopping. They are +800 third favorites to defend the Super Bowl and it’s hard to back against them.

The favorites, however, are the team they beat back in February, the Seattle Seahawks, priced at +450 with most sportsbooks. With the Pats deprived of their first round draft pick the Seahawks will hope they can gain the edge over their rivals and with the Legion of Boom looking as good as ever it’s easy to see why they are so well fancied. Green Bay are +700, with the Colts +1000 and Denver +1400, although at this stage even teams like the Ravens and the Cowboys have to be considered at long prices.

Whichever side you want to back to go all the way, betting on the NFL and the Super Bowl is a great way to enjoy long-lasting betting fun. Betting on the NFL doesn’t provide the instant thrill of the best US legal casino games but in terms of getting weeks or months of fun from a single wager, betting on the Super Bowl is hard to top.

PayDirt Slot Review – Great RTG Slot

August 26, 2015 Category :Games 0

PayDirt, as miners and history buffs will probably know, was slang for the gravel that gold prospectors would sift through in the hope of hitting gold. However, as fans of slots and USA online casinos will probably know, PayDirt is also an amazing online slot from Realtime Gaming. Read on for our review of this excellent game, as well as details of how to hit the biggest wins.

Slot Theme

The theme of the slot is the gold rush of 1849 and, in a more general sense, the Wild West. Your bearded miner, pick axe in hand, is looking for gold and with a huge progressive jackpot, which is randomly triggered, you might well find some gold of your own. The graphics are good, as you would expect from RTG given they are probably the best software provider of US online slots, and you can expect dynamite, bandits, golden nuggets and more. The sounds are relatively basic when compared to some slots but nonetheless, they add a little atmosphere, especially on the bonus rounds.

PayDirt Gameplay

PayDirt uses five reels, as with most of RTG’s great online slots, with 25 pay lines and you can change the number of lines you play, as well as the value of your coins, giving you a huge range of spin costs. This makes PayDirt a great option for both high rollers and those down to their last dime. The usual RTG features, including auto spin are present and all in all playing this slot is simple and good fun.

Bonus Rounds

One of the reasons we love this slot so much is because there are three different bonus rounds. All are triggered by hitting three or more PayDirt scatter symbols and whilst all are lucrative, some will be worth more than others. Strike it Lucky is the best in our opinion, with 10 free spins featuring loads of wilds and the possibility of re-triggering a further 10 free spins.

PayDirt Conclusion

PayDirt is a top class USA slot that evokes the Wild West and thanks to some great bonus rounds and a good progressive jackpot you could find some gold of your own with just a little bit of luck!

Silver Oak Casino Bonuses

August 14, 2015 Category :Featured Casinos 0

Silver Oak is one of the newer USA legal online casinos around but they are growing in popularity and stature all the time, and with a range of brilliant welcome bonuses for new customers they are well worth checking out.

$10,000 Welcome!

There are some big casino bonuses around at the moment but few, if any, can rival the amazing $10,000 welcome bonus you will get at Silver Oak. New customers can get a 100% bonus up to $1,000 on each of their first 10 deposits, making for a brilliant $10k welcome!

Silver Oak used to offer the $1,000 bonus on your first two deposits but now they’ve extended it to 10 there has never been a better time to join. Use bonus codes SILVEROAK1, SILVEROAK2, and so on and each time you make a deposit you’ll get an instant casino bonus to match it, giving you twice as much fun and with a bit of luck some massive wins along the way.

This is a great offer for fans of blackjack and video poker because whilst many online casinos don’t allow these games at all, or at best count them at 25% (but more commonly 10%) towards the bonus wagering, here at Silver Oak they contribute towards the rollover at 50%.

No Deposit Bonus

Silver Oak are one of the most generous USA online casinos around when it comes to no deposit bonuses too and so why not give them a try without even risking a dime?! They always have some form of no deposit bonus, be it $25, $50 or $100, and at the moment you can grab that maximum freebie worth $100 when you use bonus code FREESILVER.

Try the casino with this risk free bonus and if you like what you find you can then claim the main welcome bonus above. The no deposit offer has a maximum cash out of $100 and is subject to a 30x play through requirement (60 times if you play blackjack or video poker).

Even More Bonuses

Silver Oak keep the promotions coming even for existing customers too, with reloads, prize draws, Weekly Bonuses, game-specific offers and a Players Rewards scheme. There’s so much on offer we couldn’t possibly list it all here so why not head to Silver Oak, try the no deposit bonus and have a look at what other freebies are available?!

Martingale Roulette System

July 31, 2015 Category :Games 0

Martingale is a staking system that promises easy money with no risk: but if alarm bells aren’t already ringing, maybe you need to change the batteries. Whilst Martingale is usually applied to betting on even money options at roulette, it can (by the foolish) be used for betting on just about any casino game that has a payout of even money and odds of success of around 50%. Virtually all USA online casinos offer roulette, blackjack and baccarat and whilst Martingale can be used whilst playing these great games, we strongly advise against it.

Martingale was probably devised in France in the 1700s and is a method of staking that requires you to double your bet after a losing wager and continue to double until you win, at which point you revert to your base stake. Theoretically this is a foolproof betting strategy because at some point, so the logic goes, you MUST win, and when you do, no matter how many losses you have suffered previously, you will be one staking unit in profit.

It’s easy to see why Martingale appeals and although it’s been around for well over 200 years, many players will “discover” it for themselves and think they have hit on an unbeatable casino system. The beauty of Martingale is that even after 100 losses, just one win returns the player to profit.

However, let’s examine why Martingale is, in fact, just about the worst staking plan around, at least in the hands of someone who doesn’t understand it. The key problem, and one that anyone using Martingale will reveal if they play long enough, is that at some point, a long losing run WILL hit and when it does, it will mean you hit the online casino’s staking limits or, much more likely, you will go bust and thus not be able to place the next wager.

In theory, if you had all the time and money in the world and a casino that would allow you to bet without any limits, Martingale is unbeatable. In practice, it may deliver frequent small wins but eventually one huge loss that exceeds those wins. Whilst five, eight, 10 or even 15 consecutive losses on an even money bet seems all but impossible, the reality is that if playing regularly you will soon suffer such a loss and that is why Martingale should be avoided whenever you visit a USA legal online casino.

Do You Play Blackjack?

July 21, 2015 Category :Games 0

BlackjackBlackjack is one of the most popular casino games both at online casinos and land based brick and mortar casinos. The game became popular with its easy to understand rules, low house edge and the glitz and glamour of Hollywood. Played correctly, blackjack can yield one of the lowest casino edges (or advantages) and just about any one can enjoy the game. Even Hollywood helped the game become popular especially after the Movie “21” where MIT students devised a “system” to increase their chances of winning.

Regardless the reason why you like to play blackjack, online casinos offer anyone of legal age the ability to play for real money right from from their living room. Playing online gives you the all the fun and excitement of playing blackjack and even offers some variations of the game you wont find at a brick and mortar casino.

The most popular blackjack variation is Spanish 21. Spanish 21 plays very similar to traditional blackjack with a few key differences. The biggest change is all 10’s are removed from the deck and the player always wins when they have blackjack or draw to 21. As the player you also receive odds for certain hands and be paid up to 3-1 on their bet. See more on playing Spanish 21 Blackjack and if you have never played before it is definitely worth checking out.

Another popular style of blackjack played online is live dealer blackjack. Playing against live dealers online allows you to still play against a real live dealer where you can see the dealer and your hand over a live streaming feed. Live blackjack offers players who want as close to a brick and mortar casino experience just that. If you ever thought maybe the computer wasn’t fair or questioned the true randomness of the cards, you can put any suspicions to rest by playing against a live dealer.

So if you play blackjack and want to play online you have many options available to you. Play standard online blackjack or play against a live dealer. Traditional blackjack tables are abundant and so are many fun variations of the game. We recommend giving Spanish 21 a try if you haven’t yet and also highly recommend playing against live dealers.

Use any of our highly recommended USA online casinos to play blackjack online and you can always bet your money is safe and you will receive your winnings in a timely manner. Blackjack is one of the most popular casino games but you can also check out and play a variety of other online casino games and slot machines for real money. Good luck and remember to stick with our list of the best online blackjack casinos to make sure you never have a problem making a deposit or withdraw and you can also always be certain the games are fair.

Best Casino Books

July 3, 2015 Category :General 0

Every now and again we take a break from playing at the top USA online casinos you see on this site and sometimes we even like to read a good book… a book about casinos of course! And here are some of our favorites which we’d recommend for when you’re not quite in the mood – or don’t have the funds or bonus cash – to play at an online casino.

Beat The Dealer by Edward O. Thorp

Beat The Dealer is the seminal book on card counting in blackjack and whilst you won’t learn anything new – the book was, after all, first published in the 1960s – its place in the history of blackjack means this is a must read for any casino fan, especially those who like blackjack.

Bringing Down The House by Ben Mezrich

This book is classed as non-fiction and tells the tale of the infamous MIT blackjack team who took casinos all over the world for tens of millions of dollars over a period of around 20 years. Whilst there is much in the book that is, shall we say, embellished, it remains both hugely entertaining and also very informative.

American Mensa Guide to Casino Gambling by Andrew Brisman

This book covers a wide range of information that is highly useful for both online casino gambling and traditional bricks and mortar casinos. The writing is wittier than you might expect from a Mensa man and the advice and tips are very thoughtful and based on sound logic.

Amarillo Slim In A World Full Of Fat People by Amarillo Slim

This book is a real easy read and great fun and whilst not strictly speaking a casino book – Slim was most famously a prop bettor, poker player and pool man – there are some great casino and gambling tales in the tome to make it a very worthy inclusion on our list. Anyone for riding a camel through a casino?

How to Win at Gambling by Avery Cardoza

If you’d rather have a great game and strategy guide than great stories, this is the one single book that covers just about everything you’ll need to play almost every major casino game with the lowest house edge that particular game allows.

The Blackjack Hall of Fame

June 18, 2015 Category :General 0

Almost all USA online casinos offer online blackjack and whether you play for a bit of fun or take your blackjack more seriously, the Blackjack Hall of Fame is sure to inspire you. Whether you need a little motivation to play after a bad run at the online tables or are just interested in blackjack history, read on for the lowdown on the Blackjack Hall of Fame.

The Blackjack Hall of Fame, which is located at the Barona Casino in San Diego, California, was created in 2002 when the seven inaugural inductees were given the incredible honor of being the first names to be recognized for their contribution to the great game of blackjack.

Those seven players were Tommy Hyland, Stanford Wong, Ken Uston, Al Francesco, Arnold Snyder, Edward O. Thorp and Peter Griffin. Perhaps the most famous name on that list is Thorp, who wrote the seminal card counting book Beat The Dealer, first published in 1962. Whilst Thorp’s contribution to the game cannot be mistaken, names such as Wong, Hyland and Griffin will also be familiar to many and the original inductees are very much a who’s who of blackjack theory, math, team play, card counting and strategy.

The initial seven were chosen from a group of 21 possible contenders and since then a number of players, experts and theorists have been added. In 2008 four names that may not be well known outside true blackjack aficionado circles were added as a collective, with Roger Baldwin, Wilbert Cantey, Herbert Maisel and James McDermott being inducted.

This foursome, known as the The Four Horsemen of Aberdeen, are said to have perfected the rules of basic strategy and so, in many ways, they are ultimately responsible for just about every variation on blackjack advantage play.

Since then one new name has been added to the Blackjack Hall of Fame each year, with author Don Schlesinger (2014) the most recent addition. Who knows though, with a little dedication, maybe you could one day make the Hall of Fame and whilst that’s unlikely you could certainly have a whole heap of fun perfecting your blackjack game online and hopefully make a few dollars in the process too! See the online blackjack casinos we recommend which all accept USA players and also check out live dealer blackjack. Live dealer online blackjack gives you the closest experience possible to playing at a land based casino bit still online. Check out all there is to know about live dealer casinos and specifically USA live dealer casinos.

Bet on the Copa America

June 4, 2015 Category :General 0

Whilst we largely focus on the best casino bonuses, games and promotions, sometimes we like to have a look away from casino action and, for soccer fans, the upcoming Copa America is one of the most exciting events around. With many of the best USA online casinos also offering sports betting you won’t need a new account to have a bet on the soccer, although with various welcome bonuses and free bets on offer to new customers, joining a new casino/sports site could be a lucrative move.

Who will win the Copa America?

Well, the US may not be taking part in this year’s event but even so, the 2015 Copa America in Chile is still well worth watching, and certainly worth betting on. If you fancy a break from playing slots, blackjack or whatever your favorite casino game is, then we really recommend you check out the soccer. It’s more exciting than you might think and the Copa America features loads of the world’s best players, including Argentina’s Lionel Messi, Brazil’s Neymar, Uruguay’s Luis Suarez, Colombia’s James Rodriguez and Alexis Sanchez, from host nation Chile.

Messi is the best player in the world and quite probably of all time and it is his Argentina side who are the favorites to win the Copa America, with +250 about the best price going. Next up are Brazil at +333, with the hosts Chile also in with a real shot at odds of +500 and Colombia making up the top four in the betting at +600.

South American sides, did really well at the last World Cup in Brazil and any of those four could certainly go all the way at the Copa America. With so many of the best players starring for top European sides such as Barcelona, Real Madrid, Manchester City, Manchester United and Arsenal, there is always a concern they may be somewhat tired by the time of the major tournaments.

The Copa America gets underway on 12th June, with Chile playing Ecuador (we recommend a bet on Chile at -175) and many of the game’s best players will have played in the Champions League final just a few days prior to that.

Even so, we think magical Messi will have enough in his little legs to guide Argentina to glory so lay down your casino stack and set aside a few chips for a bet on Argentina, our prediction for glory in this year’s Copa America.
